Rabies and typhoid and shots—oh my!

So, of course, it is always recommended that you check out special or necessary vaccinations prior to any travel outside of the U.S. and I dutifully did my research on what I need to travel to Cuba.

What a shock to see that on the official Travel to Cuba U.S. website the recommendations are for vaccinations against tetanus, hepatitis A & B, rabies, and typhoid and a warning regarding the existing Zika virus transmitted through mosquitoes.

I hate shots.  I hate blood tests.  But more than those, I hate the thought of getting sick in a foreign country.  Still, I'm not sure that I trust all these recommendations on the website.  A visit to my doctor is next.
